NGRCAMPUS anticipates improving university student productivity rates through the onboarding of Project Practice Partnership (PPP). Thanks to a collaboration between NGRCAMPUS and The Centre For International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS), students will be equipped with practical knowledge that will enable them to navigate the professional space.

NGRCAMPUS met with the managerial team of CIAPS and were introduced to facilitators in the company who will lead sessions for students in varying universities on a quarterly basis. The first session was a seminar held over lunch at the centre premise in Ikeja. Every aspect of PPP was deciphered, from its incorporation into classroom lectures, to student individual and group projects.

CIAPS Centre Director, Prof. Anthony Kila, shared his wealth of knowledge with CIAPS students, saying PPP serves as a pathway that prepares individuals and professionals to activate their knowledge in their areas of specialisation, develop general and problem-solving skills, whilst building teamwork and experience.

“As a potential undergraduate, it is imperative to be deliberate about your choice of institution, one that will help you merge both theory and practice for better effectivity in professionalism. In the eventuality that you are found wanting in that area, then you must collectively and individually seek out ways to tap into insightful sessions delivered by professionals, and consciously apply learnings of PPP, ” he said.

“There are gaps in leadership and education, but individuals need to challenge themselves to go beyond First-degree certifications and strive towards proper knowledge acquisition. The first degree majorly trains you to acquire and present information, but it does not train or prepare you for professionalism. On the flip side, schools must set up extracurricular learning clubs that will incorporate PPP in their activities, students must discover themselves by exploring co-curricular activities, know what is required, and assertively drive their professional and personal progress.”

CIAPS Media and Journalism student Esievo Sholaye kept the team abreast with her recent application of PPP, she stated that she has been able to effectively set plans in motion to take on any task (project), practice her steps whilst networking (partnership) with her colleagues to actualise her goals as well as improve her productivity.
