A Nigerian lawmaker from Ibarapa East constituency and a graduate from one of Nigeria’s finest University Babcock University has emerged the youngest speaker of the Oyo state house of assembly.

He hails from eastern part of Nigeria, a place many call ERUWA community in Oyo state.

With a degree in political science and a passion for Nigerian politic he picked up the mantle to contest for the Oyo State House of Assembly under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party.

Shortly after Governor Seyi Makinde inaugurated the new assembly, it’s was indeed a huge thanksgiving and celebration in the eastern part of Nigeria Oyo state to be presides, as on the 10th of June 2019 history was made as they Inaugurated a Nigerian lawmaker as the new speaker of the Oyo state house of assembly in person of Mr Adebo Ogundoyin

At the event, the clerk of the assembly, Ms. Felicia Oyediran swore in Ogundoyin, who was unanimously elected by the 32 lawmakers of the State Assembly.

Adebebo Ogundoyin is one of the sons of the late foremost philanthropist and industrialist, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, a native of Eruwa community in Oyo State.

Shortly after the inauguration he addressed the crowd saying, “Our state has set the pace for a new generation of leaders by electing him as the youngest Speaker in the history of the state and Nigeria.

He also said that politically, Oyo State has always set the pace for good things in Nigeria, and he promised that the ninth (assembly) will raise the bar of quality representation of the great people of Oyo state.
